Principles. Our pizza restaurant was founded on them. Quality ingredients. Service with a smile. Relationships, of all kinds, matter. Also, and this is very important, make every pizza like it was for family. When we started, it probably was. Pizza Hut first opened in 1958 in Wichita, Kansas, when two brothers used $600 borrowed from their mom to open a pizza place. They named it Pizza Hut because the sign had just room for eight letters (so scientific). It, of course, grew. Because the pizza was awesome. The service felt like home. And the people treated the customer like family. Those same tenets apply today. It's how a restaurant should do business. For us, it's the same restaurant-quality food and service since 1958.

To make our sauce, we stir in a unique blend of herbs and spices originally created by our Founders, resulting in a consistently delicious, bright and robust flavor.
Our Dough
Pizza Hut got its start in 1958 in Wichita, Kansas, the nation's top wheat-producing state. We have harvested wheat for our original dough recipes from some of the same family-run wheat fields and have worked with some of the same flour-making mills for decades. Just like artisan bakeries, we believe in taking the extra bread-making step to allow our dough to sit undisturbed in heated proofers to allow our famous and original Pan dough to rise perfectly for optimal flavor and texture. It's an investment in time and money, but one we believe is well worth it.
Our Cheese
Since our beginning, we've worked with the same family-owned business to supply only the highest-quality cheese to top our pizza. We proudly serve only 100% real cheese made with whole milk mozzarella. Our milk is 100% USA-sourced straight from farms typically within 50 miles of the cheese makers. Our category-leading dairy partners give us access to the freshest, highest-quality sources of Grade A milk to make and serve exceptional, consistent, flavorful cheese.
